Happy Purposeful Sunday and New Week Reader,

In December of last year I selected a picture of a woman on a conference room stage and placed it on my Pinterest vision board for 2024. I felt strongly like I was supposed to host an event to help people see the link between purpose and profitability.

For too long, these two concepts have been seen as separate, even opposing forces.

Honestly Reader, I have dedicated myself to the study of purpose after realising this was the area God assigned me to.

TIP: When you get even the smallest clue of what you were meant to do, become a student of your voice.

To many times people look outside of themselves for the deepest revelation of who they are, when in fact its deep on the inside of them. So, because there is this association of purpose being a role to be filled, many can't see how its linked to their increased happiness, increased influence, increased dominance, increased income and accessibility of resources.

Biggest myths of purpose:

1. Once discovered, the discovery is enough
2. Once I continue to live, things will "fall" into place
3. Once I know my purpose, I must start a business to be profitable

To keep these weekly emails short, thought provoking and actionable. I will just briefly touch on why these 3 statements are very very far from the truth.

Once discovered, the discover is enough

The discover of purpose, is just that! A discovery, with your new awareness you are now required to partner this discovery with accompanying skills. Oh, let me also mention this initial discover is NOT final. You learn more about yourself as you take action on your discovery.

Once I continue to live, things will "fall" into place

Things don't fall into place, they fit into place. You must look at the pieces you have and partner them with your awareness and your discovery.

One I know my purpose, I must start a business to be profitable

You don't start a business with your purpose, you are a business :-). Your low moments can be leveraged for greater moments that helps others. You sell your skills, your time, you experience and even yourself daily. Sounds like a business to me! You probably never thought of it that way!

Putting things into the right perspective will help you to see the link between the two.
